4. How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described above, including to meet legal, tax, accounting and dispute-resolution requirements (order, payment and tax records for at least 7 years; your marketing subscription until you unsubscribe). When we no longer need it, we delete or anonymize it.
5. Your choices and privacy rights
Whether or not your state’s law gives you these rights, we will honor the following requests from any U.S. resident:
- Access: ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy.
- Correction: ask us to fix inaccurate information.
- Deletion: ask us to delete your personal information, subject to records we must keep by law (for example, tax records).
- Opt out of advertising cookies and the Meta Pixel (see section 6), and of marketing emails.
- Non-discrimination: we will not treat you worse for exercising these rights.
How to make a request: email hello@spainathome.com with “Privacy request” in the subject, or call +1 (954) 982-5403. We will need to confirm your identity (for example, by matching information we already have, such as the email on your order) before acting. We aim to respond within 45 days, and will tell you if we need more time. You may use an authorized agent; we may ask for proof of their authority. If we deny a request, you may ask us to reconsider and we will explain our reasons.
Marketing emails: click “unsubscribe” at the bottom of any email, or email us. We will stop within 10 business days at the latest. You will still receive transactional emails about your orders.
Phone calls, text messages and WhatsApp: we use your phone number to contact you about your orders (delivery, problems or questions about your order), as explained in our Terms of Sale. To stop order texts or WhatsApp messages, reply STOP or tell us; we will stop within 10 business days. We send marketing text or WhatsApp messages only if you tick the separate, optional box for them at checkout. It is never a condition of purchase, and we keep a record of your consent (date, phone number and the text you agreed to). Reply STOP to any of them to stop.
Discount offers: our welcome discount for email subscribers is offered in exchange for your email address. It is optional, and you can unsubscribe at any time. See Promotions Terms.
6. Cookies, tracking, and “Do Not Track” (California Online Privacy Protection Act)
We use cookies and similar technologies for the Site to work, to measure use, and for advertising. In the United States, our analytics and advertising tools (Google Analytics, Google Ads, Microsoft Clarity and the Meta Pixel) are on by default. You can turn them off at any time with the “Cookie settings” or “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” links in the footer of every page. Details are in our Cookie Policy.
Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track. If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control (GPC) or “Do Not Track” signal, our consent tool treats it as a request to opt out, and the Site turns off analytics and advertising cookies for you.
Third-party tracking. Third parties such as Google, Microsoft and Meta may collect information about your online activities over time and across different sites when you use the Site, unless you opt out.
7. Children’s privacy
The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted connections and a payment processor that handles card data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a data breach affects your information, we will notify you as required by law.
9. Where your information is processed
We are based in the United States and operate only in the United States. Your information is processed and stored in the United States, and may be handled by service providers located elsewhere.
10. Links to other sites
The Site may link to other websites (for example, payment or social media pages). We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please read their policies.
11. California residents
In addition to the above, California residents may request, once a year, information about the categories of personal information we disclosed to third parties for their direct marketing purposes in the prior year. Contact us using the details below. We do not meet the thresholds that make us a “business” under the California Consumer Privacy Act at this time, but we handle requests as described in section 5.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will post the new version on this page with a new “Last updated” date. If we make a material change, we will give additional notice, such as a banner or an email.
