Spanish extra virgin olive oil from Castilla-La Mancha
Our Spanish extra virgin olive oil comes from one producer, Palacio de los Olivos, in Almagro, Castilla-La Mancha. Each bottle is 100% one olive variety, so you can taste the difference between them. Prices as of October 2026.
- Picual is robust, green and peppery, with a clear bitterness. Use it where you want the oil to speak: grilled meat and vegetables, tomato toast, beans and lentils. 500 ml (16.9 fl oz) $29.95; 1.5 L gift case (50.7 fl oz) $69.95; 3 L (about 101 fl oz) $89.95.
- Arbequina is soft, sweet and fruity, with almost no pepper: the one for people who find stronger oils too intense. 500 ml, $29.95.
- Arbosana is fruity and fresh, with notes of herbs and almond and a gentle peppery finish. 500 ml, $29.95.
We do not stock a Hojiblanca oil at the moment.
How to choose. For everyday cooking and big batches, take the 3 L Picual. To finish fish, salads and fresh cheese, the gentler Arbequina and Arbosana let the food lead; for a peppery bite, choose Picual. For a gift, the 1.5 L case is the easiest option.
How to store it. Light, heat and air dull olive oil. Keep the bottle sealed in a cool, dark cupboard, away from the stove and sunlight, and use it within a few months of opening.
Pair a bottle with a wedge from our Manchego collection; our Manchego guide suggests more pairings. We ship to the 48 contiguous states, and orders of $250 or more ship free.
