Spanish ham, cheese and chorizo are best when they arrive in good shape. This page explains where we ship, how we pack and send your order, what it costs, and what to do when your package arrives. It is part of our Terms of Sale.
1. Where we ship
We ship within the United States only. At launch we deliver to the contiguous 48 states. We do not currently ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, U.S. territories, or outside the United States. We cannot ship to PO boxes.
Refrigerated items (cheese, sliced ham and charcuterie that need refrigeration) currently ship to Florida addresses only, until our cold-chain packaging is in place. Whole hams, pantry items, sweets and accessories ship to all 48 contiguous states.
Our products are sourced from licensed U.S. importers and distributors, and your order is prepared and shipped in the United States.
2. How we ship
Refrigerated items (cheese, sliced ham, sausages that need refrigeration): Florida only for now
- Delivered to Florida addresses only. If you enter an address outside Florida, checkout will ask you to change it or remove these items.
- Whenever possible we ship them early in the week, so packages do not sit in a carrier’s facility over a weekend.
- Within Florida, ground transit is usually 1-2 business days.
- If your order contains both refrigerated and other items, the whole order ships on this schedule unless we tell you otherwise.
Whole bone-in hams and shelf-stable goods
- Whole bone-in hams and shoulders (paletas), and shelf-stable items such as oils, olives, canned goods, sweets and accessories, ship by ground service. These items do not need refrigeration in transit. Dry-cured hams should be stored as described on the product page when they arrive.
- Hot weather: if forecasts show very high temperatures along the route, we may hold or ship certain heat-sensitive items (for example, chocolate or turrón) on a different schedule or with extra cooling, and we will contact you if that affects your order.
3. Processing time
We pack orders on business days. Orders placed by 12:00 pm ET are usually prepared within 1-3 business days. A refrigerated order placed late in the week may ship at the start of the following week, so it is not in transit over a weekend.
4. Delivery time
Transit time depends on the carrier and your location: about 2-6 business days by ground depending on your state (fastest in Florida and the Southeast, longest to the West Coast). These are estimates, not guarantees. If you need your order by a specific date, contact us before ordering and we will tell you what is realistic.
If we can’t ship within the time we promised, or within 30 days of your order if we gave no time, we will email you, explain the delay, and let you choose to wait or cancel for a full refund.
5. Shipping costs
- Free shipping on whole Ibérico hams and Ibérico paletas, and on any order of $250 or more (calculated on the product subtotal, before shipping and tax) and after any discounts.
- Otherwise one flat rate per order: $9.95 for pantry (shelf-stable) items, $24.95 for refrigerated items (cheese, hand-sliced ham, charcuterie; Florida addresses only for now), $29.95 for a whole Serrano ham, and $15 for Florida bakery delivery. If your order mixes types, you only pay the highest rate.
- Taxes: applicable sales tax, if any, is calculated at checkout.
- Made-to-order items (Ensaimada, Roscón de Reyes): a flat $15 delivery fee in Florida, shown at checkout.
All of this is subject to change; the rate shown at checkout when you place your order is the one that applies.
6. Made-to-order items
Ensaimada and Roscón de Reyes are handmade to order and delivered on the date you choose, with at least 5 days’ notice. At launch, they are delivered in Florida only. Delivery method and delivery window are shown at checkout (our own team or a local courier; no pickup). See the Terms of Sale and Refund & Returns Policy for details.
7. Tracking
When your order ships we email you a shipping confirmation, with tracking information when available. Tracking can take several hours to update after the label is created.
8. Receiving your order
- Be ready. Choose an address where someone can receive a perishable package on the delivery day, and move it into the refrigerator as soon as it arrives. Do not leave perishable packages outside in heat or cold. If you will be away on the delivery day, tell us before we ship and we will hold the order or change the date; once delivered, the package is your responsibility.
- Check it. Open the box right away and inspect the contents. If something is damaged, spoiled or incorrect, follow the steps in our Refund & Returns Policy. You must contact us within 24 hours of delivery with photos (48 hours for non-food items). Late claims are not covered.
- Signature. Orders of $500 or more ship with adult signature required, so someone must be there to receive them. Other deliveries may also require a signature.
9. Address errors, failed deliveries and lost packages
- Please double-check your address. We are not responsible for packages delivered to an incorrect address that you gave us. If a package is returned to us because of an incorrect or incomplete address or because it was not picked up, we will contact you; perishable items cannot be re-sent safely, so re-shipping costs may apply to non-perishables.
- If your tracking shows “delivered” but you did not receive the package, contact the carrier and us right away. We will help you open a claim.
- If a package is lost in transit, we will replace it or refund you.
10. Delays beyond our control
Weather, carrier problems, holidays and other events can delay deliveries. We will do what we can to reduce the impact, and we will work with you if a perishable order is affected.
