What is inside.

• Carmencita Meat & Chorizo Paella Kit for 2, with its paella pan (per supplier, the kit contains the pan, dehydrated broth, oil and rice).
• Smoked paprika (pimentón ahumado), 4 oz tin: for extra depth in the paella, or sprinkled on eggs, potatoes and roasted vegetables.
• Arteoliva Gazpacho Andaluz, 1 L: the cold tomato soup of Andalusia, to start the meal.
• Paco Lafuente Mussels in Escabeche: to nibble while the paella cooks.

How to run the evening.

1. Chill the gazpacho in the fridge for a few hours before dinner.
2. Open the mussels and serve them with bread and potato chips while you start cooking: the classic aperitivo.
3. Cook the paella by following the kit’s instructions: brown the meat and chorizo, add the smoked paprika, then the broth and the rice. Spread the rice evenly and do not stir once it has gone in.
4. Serve the gazpacho cold, in small glasses or bowls, while the rice finishes and rests off the heat for a few minutes.
5. Bring the pan to the table and eat straight from it, with a lemon wedge and a glass of rosé.

Storage. Keep all items in a cool, dry pantry at room temperature until you use them. Chill the gazpacho before serving. Once opened, refrigerate any leftovers and eat the mussels within 2 days.

Pairing. A dry rosé, a Garnacha red or a cold Albariño. Finish with something sweet and a coffee.
