Quick answer: The best gifts from Spain are the ones you eat: turrón, olive oil, chorizo, olives and a good ham. Under $50 you can send turrón, drinking chocolate or a paella kit. From $50 there are whole cured sausages and olive oil in a gift case, and for the big gesture there is a whole leg of jamón. Everything ships from Florida to the US except Alaska and Hawaii, with your message on a card inside the box. The Christmas boxes, cheese and sliced ham need cold and are Florida only.
Almost every “gift from Spain” is a souvenir that ends up in a drawer. Food does not. A box of turrón gets opened at the table the same night, and a Spanish olive oil gets used until the bottle is empty. That is the idea behind this page: gifts that get eaten, shared and remembered, from a jar of olives to a ham on its stand.
We ship to the US except Alaska and Hawaii; see the shipping policy for rates and times. One rule to keep in mind while you choose: anything that needs the fridge (cheese, sliced ham, the Christmas boxes) is Florida only; the rest travels nationwide.
What are the best Spanish gifts under $50?
Small gifts work best in twos and threes. Put two or three of these together and you have a Spanish food gift basket for the price of a bottle of wine. All of them ship nationwide.
| Gift | Price | Why it works |
|---|---|---|
| Alemany Soft Jijona Turrón, 10.6 oz | $24.95 | Spain’s Christmas sweet, soft almond and honey. The classic gift for any host. |
| Marcos Tonda Spanish Drinking Chocolate, 7 oz | $9.95 | Thick enough to dip a roscón in, for the morning of January 6 or any cold evening. |
| Marcos Tonda Filled Chocolates Gift Box, 5.5 oz | $18.95 | Already in a colorful gift box, nothing to wrap. |
| Palacio de los Olivos Picual Extra Virgin Olive Oil, 500 ml | $29.95 | The gift for someone who cooks. Picual is the olive of Jaén, green and peppery. |
| Carmencita Paella Kit for 2 with Paella Pan | $49.95 | A dinner for two with its own pan. A gift they will use on a Saturday. |
| Goikoa Chorizo, Not Spicy, 7.4 oz | $14.95 | Whole, ready to eat or cook. Mild, so it suits everyone. |
| Dulymaz Marzipan Figures, 3.5 oz | $8.95 | A small Christmas sweet that fits in any stocking. |
| Jolca olives, from $6.49 | from $6.49 | Stuffed with anchovy, piquillo or chorizo. Cheap, and it disappears first. |
A combination I would send to a friend: the Jijona turrón, the drinking chocolate and a jar of olives. About $41 before shipping, and it already feels like a gift basket.
What can you give for $50 to $150?
This is where the gift starts to look like a charcuterie gift box, and where most people shopping for a Spanish gift basket end up. Nationwide options first.
- Palacio de los Olivos Picual Olive Oil Gift Case, 1.5 L, $79.95. It arrives in its own case, so it looks like a gift without any help from you.
- Covap 100% Ibérico de Bellota Chorizo, 1 lb, $52.95, and the Covap salchichón, 1 lb, $54.95. Whole cured sausages, no fridge needed, for someone who likes meat and cheese boards done properly.
- Beher 100% Ibérico de Bellota Chorizo Cular, 1 lb, $56.95. The same idea, from Guijuelo.
- Cinco Jotas Lomo, 1 lb, $139. Cured loin from acorn-fed Ibérico pigs, whole and unsliced: a luxury that needs no carving skills.
To put your own box together, the Spanish charcuterie board guide shows what goes on a board and what each piece costs.
In Florida, you can also send:
- Spanish Christmas Gift Box: Serrano Ham, Chorizo & Marzipan, $89.95 (Florida only).
- Spanish Christmas Tapas Box with Ibérico Ham & Olive Oil, $149 (Florida only). Hand-carved Ibérico ham, cheese, olive oil and turrón: a whole tapas evening in one box.
- Cinco Jotas Hand-Carved Ibérico de Bellota Ham, 3 oz, $64.95 (Florida only). The best ham we sell, already carved.
- A Manchego DOP wedge, 1 lb, $31.95 (Florida only). Outside Florida, buy a good Manchego DOP in a shop near the recipient.
What can you give for $150 to $300?
Here the gift is a whole Spanish ham, with the Serrano.
- Serrano Ham Starter Kit with Stand & Knife, $289. A whole Serrano leg with its stand and knife: someone’s first jamón, ready to carve the day it arrives. Ships nationwide.
- Cortijo de Canata Serrano Ham, 15–17 lb, $249, if they already own a stand. A leg this size gives about 50 tapa servings at 2 oz each, so it suits a family that entertains, not a single person.
- Serrano Ham Christmas Box with Manchego, Chorizo & Turrón, $289 (Florida only, it carries cheese).
What is the big gift: a whole jamón?
Above $300 the gift is the whole leg. Melquiades 50% Ibérico is $549, Beher 100% Ibérico cebo de campo is $599, Beher 100% Ibérico de bellota is $1,095, and the Cinco Jotas bellota hams run from $1,395 to $1,695. All ship nationwide.
A ham bought on its own comes without a stand or a knife. The Góndola wooden stand and the Arcos Niza ham knife are the entry point.
We wrote a full guide on this gift, with sizes and what to expect: the gift for someone who has everything. Read that one before you decide on a whole leg.
Which Spanish gift for which person?
Someone who lived in Spain, or travels there and misses it
This is the person who still talks about the jamón they had in Madrid. Send what they ate there and cannot find here: Jijona turrón, a tin of sardines or mussels in escabeche, picos and a jar of olives. Our Spanish pantry is full of the things you eat standing at a bar in Spain: Ramón Peña sardines in olive oil ($8.95), Paco Lafuente mussels in escabeche ($10.95) and Obando picos ($7.95). All ship nationwide.
The foodie
Give an ingredient, not an object. Olive oil with a name on the label, a Cinco Jotas lomo, a Covap Ibérico de bellota salchichón or, in Florida, the Christmas Tapas Box. Foodies often know Ibérico from restaurants and have rarely had a whole piece at home.
The host
If you are going to someone’s house for dinner, take something they can put out that evening: turrón, olives and a pack of picos, or a chorizo to cut. It works because they do not have to cook it. Our guide to Spanish Christmas food explains what goes on the table and when.
A Spaniard living in the US
Nothing makes them happier than the taste of home at Christmas: turrón, chocolate to drink and, if there is a budget, a ham. For January 6, a handmade roscón de Reyes, but that one is delivered only in Florida.
Clients, team and employees
For many addresses, your logo on every card, a delivery date and an invoice, see corporate gifts. Javier, who runs Spain at Home, replies with a quote within one business day.
Gift sets and Christmas boxes
All the boxes live in two categories: Gift Sets and Christmas Gift Boxes. The Christmas boxes are the easiest decision, because they are already composed with what goes on a Spanish table in December. But they carry cheese or sliced ham, so the Christmas Gift Box, the Christmas Tapas Box and the Serrano Ham Christmas Box are delivered in Florida only.
Outside Florida, build the same gift from what travels: a whole Serrano with the Starter Kit, a whole chorizo or salchichón, olives, picos, a tin of sardines, olive oil and a box of turrón. Add a Manchego DOP from a good shop near the recipient and you have the whole board.
How do you send a gift to someone else, with a message?
- Their address, your name. Enter the recipient’s address as the shipping address at checkout and your own as the billing address. They get the box; you get the receipt.
- Your message. Write it in the gift message field at checkout and we print it on a card inside the box.
- Timing. We ship in 1 to 2 business days, and ground delivery takes about 2 to 6 business days depending on the state. Those are estimates. For Christmas I recommend ordering before December 14 to receive it before Christmas, but we sell through January 7 and there is no cutoff date. If it has to arrive on a particular day, write to us before you pay.
- Signature. Orders of $500 or more ship with an adult signature. For a whole ham, send it to an address where someone will be home, such as their office.
We do not ship to Alaska or Hawaii.
Frequently asked questions
What is a good gift from Spain?
Something to eat: turrón, olive oil, chorizo, olives, chocolate or a ham. It is what a Spanish household would bring to a dinner, and it is gone by the end of the week, which is what you want from a gift.
What is a good Spanish gift basket?
Three things from three families: a sweet (turrón), something savory (a whole chorizo, olives or sardines) and something for the pantry (olive oil). In Florida you can skip the basket and send a ready-made box like the Christmas Tapas Box.
Which gifts can I send outside Florida?
Whole hams and paletas, the Serrano Starter Kit, whole cured sausages, olives, oils, tinned fish, picos, turrón, chocolate and marzipan. Cheese, sliced ham and the Christmas boxes are Florida only.
Can I send a Spanish gift to Alaska or Hawaii?
No. We ship to the US except Alaska and Hawaii.
Are they really from Spain?
Yes. The products are made in Spain, arrive through a licensed US importer, and we ship them from Florida.
Do you sell wine or sangría to go with a gift?
No. We do not sell alcohol. Turrón goes with a glass of sweet wine or sidra, and ham with a dry sherry or a young Spanish red, but you will have to buy that locally.
How do I order gifts for many people?
Through corporate gifts: send the list of addresses and Javier replies with a quote.
